Sharing a cuppa for a good cause

PEOPLE were invited to an afternoon tea party in Sale to raise money for the charity Breast Cancer Now.
The event was hosted by two-time breast cancer survivor Sylvia Pimlott at Trafford Housing Trust’s New Hay Court on Egerton Drive, near Waterside.
Guests enjoyed a full afternoon tea complete with sandwiches, cakes and a selection of drinks. Raffle prizes included craft gin and wine hampers, alongside £50 worth of fresh flowers.
Speaking before the event Sylvia said: “I am incredibly grateful to all the doctors and nurses that have ensured I have twice recovered from breast cancer, and I am now really keen to be able to thank them and to give something back.
“It would be great if as many people as possible could join us for afternoon tea and help to raise money for a really good cause.”
